fashion

We have put together some of the hottest fashion accessory trends to take you through to autumn and possibly beyond with flexible fashion that can be teamed with the smarter and deeper colours to really help you stand out. Don’t just follow trends; use your own personality through your outfits and accessories to inject something different into your clothing.

One of the seasons, most captivating accessory collections contain trends like mismatched patterns, layering, and 70’s retro and nautical styling.

Eclectic

There have been lots of smart tailored pieces on the catwalks that have been given an edgy younger feel and enhance the overall appearance of any outfit.

Black and white striped boxy jackets, teamed with green florals, sky high heels or pumps. Fashion accessories that are hot with this type of look should continue to be minimal in quantity, but max out the colour for true bold style.

Whilst some have gone for evening elegance, which is still just as edgy – sheer tops with layering detail, floral skirts or pyjama style wide pants with patent platforms.

Whatever your look for the end of summer, take it into Autumn adding a bright scarf, clutch, or huge beads to decorate your décolletage. Some of the more adventurous have dared to go with stylishly and lightly knitted socks to finish the look.

Bold

Thanks to certain celebrities, bright colours like purples, yellows and oranges have transformed formal dress. They can be worn as work wear and taken right through to evening cocktails.

But what type of fashion accessory do you add to compliment such brights?

Try bright contrasting colours in bold costume jewellery, candy coloured bangles and big necklaces all work well. As do delicate floral rings and bright summer inspired wedges.

That said, black would work well too – black will contrast perfectly with every bright colour – but don’t overdo the black, you’re wearing bright vibrant colours for a reason so a pair of black pumps or a simply tied belt will work wonders.

Contrasts

Carry the bold and bright look through with jeans for a less formal addition to your wardrobe. Light wash boot cut denims or dark cropped jeans will work well with clashing colours. Trying strong pinks or trying to continue with the purple and orange theme that’s been popular, you can use your clothing underneath more subdued coloured jumpers when the weather turns.

For a punky vibe, a bright orange jacket works well over a grey casual tee. Team that with a clashing candy colour in your heels, or some simple pumps, and accessorise just as boldly.

Huge feathered earrings or large studs containing colours that reflect in your outfit can be reused to brighten up darker wintry colours for later in the year. Large statement two or three finger rings with huge gems or insects – dragonflies, hummingbirds and butterflies will work well – or jewellery that is more delicate will work to keep the look classic.

Neutrals

No matter what the trends are for the rest of the year, those of you who just don’t get on with brights can take the trend forward, despite the fact you may not wear ‘bold’ there are other ways to enhance an outfit without straying away from your staple classic and neutral look.

Any tame or subtle outfit in navies, fawns, creams and whites can be slightly brightened up. If you are feeling brave then choose large accessories that make a bigger statement than delicate designs. Yet if you don’t like the idea of juicy colours just yet, or want to bring them in at your own pace, use fashion accessories with a hint of colour and contrast to your outfit.

Try out turquoises, bubblegum or pastel pinks and natural peachy colours to inject a bit of complimentary colour whilst your fashion accessories continue to reflect your own style, and nobody else’s!

Whatever your own style, individualise it your own way by adding hottest trends that subtly hint at, or loudly show off, your own personality.

Punctuate your outfit with pieces that add colour, yet that compliment your own personal style.

And whether you are continuing the tight trouser trend, tapered jeans or wide pants with brights, bolds or neutrals there are hot fashion accessories that are bang on trend for the rest of summer, yet will last through the autumn to enhance heavier fabrics and more layers that are appearing in stores now.
